We are pleased to announce the MassCUE and M.A.S.S. 2015 Annual Technology Conference, co-sponsored by the Massachusetts Computer Using Educators (MassCUE) and the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents (M.A.S.S.). Both organizations recognize the benefits of a collaborative partnership that focuses on the collective interests of our school districts.  We will be providing educators from across the Commonwealth with exciting and innovative ways to enhance teaching and learning with technology.

An Easy Introduction to Programming and Robotics with 100% Success - Ergopedia

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Come use an extraordinary little robot that will get your students hooked on programming and teach them math and science at the same time. Within 20 minutes even beginner students will write successful programs with simple commands such as Drive() and Right()/Left() that move the robot around a slalom, or instruct it to push a box. The curriculum includes 23 projects and lessons covering all aspects of programming from introductory concepts all the way to Arduino-compatible code that interfaces sensors and logic. Best of all, you don't need to assemble anything to get started! The ErgoBot works right out of the box on Mac, Windows, iPad, Chromebooks, and even smartphones! You don't need an internet connection and you don't even need to install any software! Math concepts include measurement, geometry and algebra. Science concepts include velocity, acceleration, motion graphs, and vectors. This is an ideal STEM-blend of physics, engineering, and technology with two levels of curriculum suitable for middle school and high school or community college.
