We are pleased to announce the MassCUE and M.A.S.S. 2015 Annual Technology Conference, co-sponsored by the Massachusetts Computer Using Educators (MassCUE) and the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents (M.A.S.S.). Both organizations recognize the benefits of a collaborative partnership that focuses on the collective interests of our school districts.  We will be providing educators from across the Commonwealth with exciting and innovative ways to enhance teaching and learning with technology.

Goodreads: Using Social Media to Promote the Love of Reading

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

During this CUETip, we will dive into Goodreads.com and share how we have used this social networking tool to help promote the love of reading in our high school English classes. By encouraging a culture of digital communication and sharing about reading, our students have become more engaged participants on their reading journey.

Our general session is on Thursday at 11:30, Red Level 14.

In our BYOD-centered school community, we have developed strategies to use technology purposefully and have fostered a culture in our English classes that promotes the love of reading. By encouraging students to use technology tools meaningfully, students develop skills that inevitably foster a life-long love of reading, equipping them to investigate the world in which they live in a deeper, and more precise way.

Using the Google Apps for Education Suite, various online tools and resources, and taking advantage of all of our students having a device in hand, we have developed strategies that have proven to be successful; evidenced not only by data we have collected but the style and tone of our classes.

Hope you can join us!
